Went on Veterans Day where they were giving veterans free meals it was so crowded but the service ran smoothly and the food was replenished nicely.

Simply put, Dave's review sums up this place. I'm not sure which is worse...the food or the clientele. The icing on the cake for me (which by the way, the icing on the cupcakes here was ridiculously sweet) was when a kid dipped his finger into one of the dessert toppings at the dessert bar. I think we were the only people in the place with a full set of teeth. For $11 a person, surely you can find some place better to eat. Avoid this place; your taste buds will thank you!

Food was ok but the guy cooking the steak had a serious attitude issue! He was nasty.

Eh. Just so-so in my opinion. Better than OCB, by a longshot, but still way below the standards of most restaurant fare. Not sure why I keep going back, but I do...

The fact that the reviews of this trailer trash heaven are so high actually makes baby Jesus cry. Seriously? The food quality is comparable to what you'd find in a bag of low end dog food. If you just want mass quantities of food at low cost, this is your kind of place. On the other hand, if you have taste buds which you'd prefer not to offend, steer clear....

Absolutely disgusting, and the worst GC I've ever been to. The ladies bathroom was completely out of toilet paper, the proper people were notified but at the end of our meal still had not been replaced. It was dirty, overcrowded, loud, kind of like eating lunch in Penn Station. The food wasn't even sub par. No way to get a steak, as there was only one person cooking them and there was a line of people who decided they need to give tiny, minute details to the guy for EXACTLY how their steak is to be cooked. If you are OCD in the slightest, AVOID!

Looks like a lot of food but it's not. The one near the Baltimore Live Casino is much better.

This GC sucks! It is small....no variety.....bad layout and bad servers/cooks. The guy cooking the steak was rude. My server was young and everytime I looked for her, she was off in a corner on her phone or talking to other young patrons she obviously knew. At one point, she was hiding partially behind the kitchen with another young waitress and a young patron and they were all whispering. Completely unprofessional.. The only way this is worth my money is if we only eat steaks back to back.

Unimpressive food and poor service, especially at the carving stations. Women's room is poorly maintained. Definitely recommend the Arundel Mills area location instead.

Golden Corral. I think my husband hyped up the place when he said it was "wonderful and delicious." It was decent, I suppose. It's equivalent to going to a more expensive Hometown Buffet if you're from the west coast like I am. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed. It was crowded and busy. We were able to seat ourselves; however, when we were going to sit down, a woman told us the section was "closed." We walked out of the section and the lady put up her "This section is closed" sign. We received service by a wonderful server, Soon. She was very polite and attentive. I liked her. The other servers didn't look as pleasant. The food was kind of messy looking, partially because all the kids serving themselves and because the less appetizing foods just sat there and looked dry. The yeast rolls with honey spread was good. They serve breakfast all day. That's awesome. I like breakfast. Bacon was stocked in the warming tray. I'd go back if I had to. IF I had to...

My elderly mother loves this place, and since she doesn't get out too often anymore, I agreed to take her here for lunch this past Saturday. I will open this review by saying that I am not generally a fan of buffets, and visiting this Golden Corral just kind of cemented that opinion. There was nothing wrong with the food, except that it was very, very difficult to find what one would consider "healthy" options. The salad bar, as always, was an excellent choice and I easily found things that I liked (though it was very difficult to find any dressing that wasn't drowning in a cream-base, but I digress). The entrees, however, were a huge disappointment for me; starchy offerings like mashed potatoes, fries, soups with cream bases, and the meats were limited to steak (with fat on - ugh!) and fried chicken. Even the vegetables were pretty much drowning in butter. The rotisserie chicken breast was really the closest I could come to selecting something that wasn't more or less a crazy choice. Now, I'm aware that this IS Golden Corral, after all. But it's precisely BECAUSE it's Golden Corral that they should have more options on their buffet. They boast that they offer something for everyone; why shouldn't they offer lighter choices for those of us that don't want to eat 2000 calories on one plate? The clientele only made my opinion that much stronger. I'm not usually one to say anything about a person's weight (hell, I'm overweight myself), but some of these customers simply did NOT need to be there and gorging themselves on plate after plate of this food. Seriously. That just reinforced in my head that I need to go back to the Land of Kush or Soup's On and get some healthy food into my belly so that I can continue to get fit and make myself healthier. Because Golden Corral sure isn't going to do it. But what can I say? I love my mom. :p

Man... Never again will I go to this GCBG. It was packed, dirty, and yes dirty.... I survived so the food was okay. For the price I can't complain much about what you get. If you want to indulge in some very unhealthy foods then this is the place for you.

Just ok to poor food quality. Most buffets are cheap food, this is a little worse then others. Workers were pleasant, place was clean enough, but I didn't see the restrooms. Just poor quality food. Bland, dried out, cheap products. And the clientele there is down right scary; some people you find in there are the worst of the worst in every way.

If you are a glutton then this is your spot. And there are a lot of them, since this location is always packed. It's close to a lot of shopping nearby so after you eat your heart out you can walk it off. The prices are very cheap for a buffet and there is a lot of variety. I just love to have their fresh dinner rolls with honey spread. It's perfect to for a group who can't decide on what to eat. Lots of variety of good old home cooking.

Let me break this down for the reader: I am fat. I am, in fact, getting fatter as we speak. I actually have a cheese burger that I wrapped in bacon and deep-fried right next to me, and right next to it is a raspberry dipping sauce. I know my food and I know what I like about it. That being said, this place is great. Buffets in general are good, but what makes one great? Let's start with a price of less than $15. That's the friggin' price of a meal from most family restaurants, and the plates are not endless! Hell, some places still charge you for EVERY glass of soda. Not this place. It is like a food amusement park. They charge about 12 bones for addition, and then they let you run wild. Just like a "compliment sandwich", I have to put the not-so-great in the middle. Hide that pimento loaf between the honey smoked ham and hickory turkey. What is wrong with it? Just like an amusement park, the lines to the good rides can be unbearable. Also, while service is never "bad", it is also rarely "good". Now for the rest of the good for this sandwich. What makes a great amusement park? The rides. No matter how much it costs, no matter how long the rides, and no matter how many side attractions and balloon-dart booths there are, the park is worthless unless the rides make it worthwhile. I have been to many a buffet in my life, and most of them I would hesitate before I return. No matter how cheap, accessible, and friendly the environment is, if the food sucks, it ain't worth it. This is not the case at the Golden Corral in Glen Burnie. Come to think of it, I don't think I have ever had a bad meal at any Golden Corral I have ever been to, and I am pretty sure they are all over the US. It ain't top-notch dining, but for 12-15 friggin' dingoes, it is hard to beat.

As far as mainstream family buffets go, you can't get much better than Golden Corral. Steak, hot out of the oven rolls and mad items to choose from, it's an overeaters dream.
